INFORMATION

Objectives

  1. To promote and optimise co-operation between organisations involved in vocational training and continuous education, which includes Unions, businessmen, public administration and interface organisations, as well as other European regions, which give further value to joint actions of education and training.
  2. To favour the multiplying effect of examples of good practice between agents in order to contribute to an increase in the quality of training.
  3. To establish criteria for defining a training methodology to analyse skill needs.
  4. To develop self-learning training material, targeted to actors of vocational training and continuous education, which serves as a procedure Manual for Skill Needs Analysis.

Target group

  • People involved in skill needs analysis.
  • People involved in the definition of qualifications and competencies.
  • Professional Training centres.
  • Regional development agents.
Activities

The phases in which the different activities will be developed the project are:

YEAR 1 - Design and development of a training methodology

  1. Gathering of information and comparative analysis about existing training methodologies (skill needs analysis)
  2. Design of a training methodology framework, sufficiently flexible to adapt to any sector, environment, area or enterprise but rigid enough to be able to contrast and compare results of the different studies.
  3. Definition of the training contents.
  4. Development and design of the self-learning materials and databases based in Internet.

YEAR 2 - Experimentation, Testing and Feed-back

  1. Identification of experimental groups in each region.
  2. Training of the actors of training and regional development agents (Experimentation of the material through tutor sessions, developed self-learning material and case project)
  3. Experimentation of the instruments of detection through the case project.
  4. Feedback of the self-learning materials through results on experimentation.
  5. Dissemination of results
Results

Intangible results:

  • To consolidate a European network of experts in the analysis and anticipation of training and skill needs.
  • To develop a European framework to compare and contrast the results of training and skill analysis.

As tangible result of the project will be a training product and anticipation tools about:

  • A training methodology to anticipate training and skill needs.
  • Training products and tools based in Internet to analyse training and skill needs.
